MINISTRIES
MEAL MINISTRY
Family of God provides a hot meal to those in our community six days a week. The meals we serve meets a physical need of many individuals in our community and provides space for relationship building and conversation. The majority of meals are prepared and served by groups of 5 to 10 people from different churches. Please visit the "support us" page if you are interested in signing up to serve a meal. If you would like to sign up for a meal, you can do that as well! We will be notified and will follow up after you pick your slot.
WORSHIP
We gather for worship Sundays at 3:00pm. In worship we receive the means of grace through the hearing of God's Word and through the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. As we worship we are reminded of God's love for us and we celebrate the forgiveness of sins we have through Jesus' death and resurrection.
BIBLE STUDY
Through Bible Study we grow in our understanding of God's Word and its application for our lives. Bible Study takes place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and every other Thursday after the meal around 6:45pm. On Tuesdays, there are separate men's and women's Bible study, targeting specifically God's calling for men and women in faith.
Kids and Family Ministry
We offer two separate efforts directly geared towards children and families. On Monday’s, Kid's Club is hosted by our seminary student, Ben. We usually play games and then have a time of devotion focusing on the Gospel of Jesus.
On Wednesdays, our sister Sue Hatcher hosts a Kid’s and Family hour, before dinner, conducting Arts and Crafts as well a devotion. All families are welcome to join us!
CLARK PARK MISSION
On Sunday afternoons at 3:00pm, Family of God hosts worship at Clark Park for the folks who live in and around the park. On Mondays, we have Bible study and prayer at 6:30pm. On Thursdays, we pass out food to those on the streets. You can sign up to help make bagged lunches for the homeless in our communities.
SUMMER FIELD TRIP PROGRAM
Our Summer Field Trip Program is designed to provide our kids with positive experiences, new opportunities, and healthy relationships. Our Field Trip Program has a 1:1 child to chaperone ratio to support the development of healthy adult relationships in the child's life and give chaperones the opportunity to support each child on an individualized basis.
